Meet your new crewmates!

Dear backers, 

With great pleasure we unveil the new alien crewmembers who will be joining you on future missions. 

In addition to interesting new stat lines, which in turn leads to some new team building options, note the way the standard issue Galactic Alliance helmets have been replaced with custom units to suit some of the more...unusual physical dimensions of these diverse species. 

First up, from Mission Pack 2: Mutant Syndrome, we have three extremely versatile new officers, each able to adapt their capabilities on the fly. 

The traditional Doubles on the crew dice of these aliens have been replaced with a choice: A single trait, chosen from the two traits shown, meaning they have no true weakness. 

This flexibility will prove invaluable in many situations, but of course comes at the expense of never being able to produce more the powerful 'natural doubles'. 

From Mission Pack 3: Quantum Rift enter three new specialists - deeply skilled in one particular discipline. 

These crewmembers will be the ones you turn to at critical moments of the mission when failure is simply not an option. 

One of the Doubles of each of their crew dice has been replaced with a mixed Double (where both traits apply) meaning they are anything but one-dimensional. However their specialisation does still come with a severe weakness in one trait, making them vulnerable when isolated.

And of course, we recently unlocked the Android (or maybe Cyborg?) Crewmember stretch goal at £100k. We'll unveil that character artwork soon, along with it's unique stat line and die configuration.

Launch Complete - Stretch Goals Unlocked!

What an amazing first week! 

The campaign is off to a flying start, and thanks to the amazing support of our backers the following stretch goals have already fallen...

FREE MUSIC - All backers will get the Escape the Dark Sector Original Soundtrack MP3 files to download free of charge.

FREE STORIES - All backers will get the Mission Log short story collection PDF file to download free of charge.

FREE DEATH - All backers will get the Death in Deep Space book PDF file to download free of charge.

CUBE UPGRADE -  The Health Tracker cubes in the Collector's Box will be replaced with something more thematic: A metal 'Galactic Alliance' logo token. We'll reveal the final design soon!

TOKEN UPGRADE - The first player card in The Collectors Box includes will be replaced with a chunky, metal, 'Acting Captain' token. We'll reveal the final design soon!

And, at the time of writing, we are very close to securing the next stretch goal...an Android Crewmember!

WHAT NEXT? 

With an excellent launch behind us we're now heading into the mid-campaign lull, which is normal and nothing to worry about. Please help us out by sharing the campaign with friends and online, and pledging now for the any add-ons you know you want rather than waiting for the pledge manager after the campaign. 

We'll be working hard behind the scenes as ever to keep the campaign on a steady course, will diving into the final designs for this newly unlocked content, and we look forward to a big surge in the final week!

With your help, the project has funded in what we think is record time for us - 55 mins. We're blown away, and this is shaping up to be a really great campaign.

We're grateful to see so many returning backers from our previous campaigns, and delighted that we have so many newcomers joining us too. None of this would be possible without each and every one of you. You're part of something great and we can all feel proud to be here. 

Over the next few days we’ll do our best to keep abreast of your comments and questions, and if you’ve sent us direct messages please sit tight - we always respond, but we've had rather a large influx as you can imagine so please bear with us.
